Presence
Hear these wise words from a friend's recent online post: A co-worker came in, paused, and put their hand on their heart, sighed, and walked away. I was in training but caught them when they walked by again and asked if they needed something. They said, "I just needed to stop by because you remind me of where my heart needs to be just by seeing you and being in your presence." Um. That is one of the most beautiful things anyone has ever said to me. I cried a little, happy tears of course. Wow.
As August comes to a close and we slide into fall, consider how others are impacted by your presence. When they walk by or when they enter your space, what do they experience? What do you want them to experience?
God is a god of second chances, Friends (and third, fourth, eighteenth, three-hundredth!). If you don't have the energy to be a presence for others, spend some time in prayer: listening, confessing, pondering, resting. The Lord wants you to receive full joy so you, too, can be a blessing to others. How will you receive that joy today?
Be blessed & be a blessing,
Jennie
